beach houses' architectural and interior designs are reminiscent
of an old Florida style home. Only 24 suites comprise the elegantly
appointed guest quarters, greatly limiting the number of visitors
to be served at one time. Suites are offered in seven spacious floor

to an entire family, grace all four levels to provide you with a

Located
on the westerly shore of Estero Island (Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel's
sister island), the newly constructed all suite hotel, Edison Beach
House, fronts the magnificent Gulf of Mexico in such a way as to
capture the very essence of a leisurely, tropical sunset. Just a
short jaunt down the beach lies the Times Square area comprised
of intimate eateries, casual boutiques, the hippest of surf shops
and a popular fishing pier (no fishing license required) which stretches
into the gentle waters of the gulf. This is a favorite gathering
area for families as well as teenagers looking to meet new friends. |

1910, Mr. Edison built, at a cost of $900, one of Fort Myers' first
outdoor swimming pools which can still be viewed today at the Edison-Ford
estate. Though the desire to enjoy a relaxing dip hasn't changed
much during the last century, pools (and their construction costs)
certainly have - and we've built a fine one with a sundeck to match!
Guests will be able to take a refreshing swim in our heated Gulf
front freshwater pool and catch some world famous rays pool side
or on our pristine beach where you can watch the dolphins that frequently
come near shore. They'll be encouraged to just kick back and relax
in the tranquility of our shaded retreat to grab a late afternoon
nap or enjoy a moment of quiet introspection. A convenient courtyard
grill - ideal for the vacationing gourmet - is another facility
that can be found tucked within the beautifully landscaped grounds. |

When
its time to call it a day or night - guests can catch a major sporting
event or premium movie, with our compliments, in the comfort of
their private suite or plug in their computer and catch up with
the office staff if they're so inclined. Each suite has been
designed to provide a comfortable home-like atmosphere for relaxing
or working, if necessary. Moonlit lanais offer a relaxing
alternative for enjoying the end of the day. Even while vacationing,
many may find themselves in need of work related equipment such
as a copier, fax or small desk-top supplies which we're pleased
to provide. The professional, highly attentive Edison Beach House
staff will always strive to anticipate guests' needs, however if
we are remiss they have only to ask. Daily maid services and
bedding changes are an added service we provide and rest assured
all blankets and white bedspreads are laundered for each new arrival. |

nothing quite compares with walking a sandy beach in the early morning
hours or marveling at the power and beauty of this great body of water
at sundown, other activities do abound locally as well. Deep sea fishing
trips, gambling and dining cruises and golf are all available as are
